5 Star Trek series are leaving streaming service Hulu today
JANUARY 5, 2022 - If you are a Star Trek fan in the US and a Hulu subscriber, you’ve had access to the first five live-action television series…until this week.
TrekMovie reported two weeks ago during our hiatus that Star Trek: The Original Series, The Next Generation, Voyager, Deep Space Nine, and Enterprise, along with several other ViacomCBS shows, would be leaving Hulu, which is owned by Disney.
The move continues the trend, according to the report, that is “part of an avowed strategy of ViacomCBS to make their key franchises and assets available only on their own streaming service, Paramount+.” This was seen last September, when three series left Netflix, and TrekMovie also noted recently that the five shows in question would be leaving Amazon Prime Video early this month as well.
The shows are due to leave Hulu today, Wednesday, January 5. All five shows, along with every episode of all the other Star Trek series, are, of course, available to stream now on Paramount+. The full story is available at TrekMovie.com.
