After Setbacks, CaperCon Welcomes Robert Picardo, Star Trek: Voyager’s Emergency Medical Hologram
Star Trek fans in Nova Scotia will be pleased to hear that this year’s CaperCon has found a Trek replacement for Jonathan Frakes, after the headline guest had to cancel due to scheduling conflicts.
The Cape Breton Post reported yesterday that Robert Picardo, Star Trek: Voyager’s Emergency Medical Hologram, will now be attending the convention on Saturday and Sunday. Christa Davis, director of guest coordination for CaperCon, said of Picardo, “We’re very excited and honoured to have such an accomplished actor coming this year.”
Other guests at the convention include Emma Caulfield from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and several other guests from the sci-fi world who are based near or are from Nova Scotia. Ed Brisson is a comic book writer from Halifax, podcaster Jordan Bonaparte is from Sydney, and sci-fi and fantasy author Sherry D. Ramsey is from Cape Breton.
CaperCon is on today through Sunday, at Center 200, in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
