BlueBrixx Releases New STAR TREK Replica and Minifigs Sets
BlueBrixx just announced some new Star Trek sets as well as, for the first time ever, Star Trek Mini figures!!
BlueBrixx is a pretty popular European toy company. They’re essentially the German Lego. However unlike Lego they are lucky enough to have a contract with Star Trek, meaning that they can make Star Trek models. They have a wide variety of builds ranging from surprisingly small to incredibly immense. If you’re never heard of them before I highly recommend you check out their website. I’ve built their TNG era phaser and their TOS era communicator, which were both absolutely amazing builds.
Their new set is a 984 piece replica of the TOS era Tricorder. It hasn’t been released yet and it doesn’t have any set date for said release however presumably soon. They also haven’t released the price of the piece however if you go to their website and sort their products by price it lands somewhere between the 49.95€ and 62.97€ range so it will probably be priced somewhere between those two.
On top of their new set they also have a range of new mini figure sets. They have sets for The Original Series, Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and Enterprise. They also have a set for the Star Trek III Kirk with Commander Kruge and his Klingon crew. These sets also do not have an official release date or price, however if you sort by price it would appear as they’re going to sell for about 10€.
Most of these sets are pretty good. They have all the characters standing around a captain's chair and they all come with a little plaque with the characters’ names. However, the DS9 one is a bit frightening. They did not make a headpiece for Quark so he is completely ear-less. The face designs for Blue-Brixx mini figures are already a bit creepy but this one takes it to a whole new level.
