Creation Entertainment Announces TREK TOUR
Creation Entertainment has been hosting Star Trek conventions since the 1970s. Though today they don’t host nearly as many conventions as they used to, they’re still very relevant in the Star Trek convention world, hosting the Las Vegas Trek Convention every year.
Earlier this year Creation announced their “Trek Tour” which will be starting with STSF: Trek to San Francisco happening this weekend. (DSTN’s very own Marina Kravchuk will be attending so stay tuned for updates!). The Trek Tour is designed to be a smaller scale and more intimate than the large Vegas Trek Con. The hope is that they will bring back the feeling of community that so many of the conventions evoked in the 1980s and ‘90s.
With the announcement of the Trek Tour, Creation announced the return of Star Trek: Chicago! The convention will take place October 25-27th of this year. The Chicago Trek convention will be announced on Creation’s website after STSF with an official guest and panel list.
Creation told TrekMovie that they hope to host 12 Trek conventions a year, so hopefully we’ll be hearing more about other Trek conventions soon.
