Doug Jones Teases More Mystery and Romance in Star Trek: Discovery Season 5

JANUARY 9, 2023 - Straight from the Kelpien’s mouth: Doug dishes details of Discovery’s delve into season 5.
Doug Jones, who plays Captain Saru on Star Trek: Discovery shares what’s in store for the next season of Paramount +’s premiere Star Trek show.
From the Klingon war, A sadistic A.I., the loss of dilithium, and dark matter enigmas, DSC has certainly risen to meet the biggest challenges in the Trek universe, and we’ll get more of the same coming soon to our streaming devices.
Star Trek: Discovery season 5 shared a teaser at New York Comic Con in October of last year, which showed that the crew will engage in a hunt for "the greatest treasure in the known galaxy." Filming on the season was completed in December, but it will still be months before the next installment returns to Paramount+.
Doug Jones told fans; “We're faced with something in season 5 that is, again, a head-scratcher. It needs figuring out. It needs jumping around the galaxy to chase clues again. And so, we're going to do that with some success.”
Jones also told us that Captain Saru's romantic relationship with President T'Rina (Tara Rosling) will continue, and fans should be "very happy" with what transpires.
