Fanhome Picks Up Where Eaglemoss Left Off With New Starship Models
This Fall, Star Trek enthusiasts have a new reason to celebrate as Fanhome unveils an official Star Trek Starships model collection. Beginning in November, fans can look forward to a new die-cast model starship every month, with the debut ship being the U.S.S. Titan NCC-80210-A, a familiar sight from the third season of Star Trek: Picard.
The collection promises a comprehensive range, encompassing all modern Star Trek series such as Strange New Worlds, Discovery, Lower Decks and Prodigy. Among the first three ships to be released are:
U.S.S. Titan NCC-80201-A: Captain Shaw’s Constitution III-class vessel from Star Trek: Picard.
U.S.S. Stargazer NCC-82893: The Sagan-class ship helmed by Rios in season 2 of Star Trek: Picard.
U.S.S. Farragut NCC-1647: A ship that a young James T. Kirk serves on during the Strange New Worlds era.
Available exclusively through Fanhome, these models can be purchased individually for $64.99. However, subscribers enjoy a special rate of $54.99 per regular issue, with an additional discount on the first issue. Subscribers will also receive unique variant ships and exclusive gifts.
Each starship model is meticulously crafted from a mix of die-cast metal and high-quality resin, with typical sizes ranging from 7 to 9 inches in length. For major ships, Fanhome offers XL-sized models approximately 11 inches long at a higher price. Paramount Global collaborates closely with Fanhome to ensure these models are accurate representations, based on the original visual effects models used in the shows.
Accompanying each model is a 16-page magazine providing an in-universe profile of the ship, insights into the design process, exclusive art, and fresh interviews with the production team. The entire project is overseen by Ben Robinson, a veteran in the field of model starships, ensuring consistency in scale and quality with previous collections.
