Finally! Paramount+ to launch in the UK and Ireland on June 22, 2022
MAY 4, 2022 - Great news this week for (selected) European Star Trek fans! Paramount+ is scheduled to launch in the UK and Ireland June 22nd, with more international rollouts planned throughout the next year.
According to a press release from Paramount Global, the news was broken by CEO Bob Bakish during the latest quarterly earnings meeting. The upcoming launch will see Paramount+ “available online at paramountplus.com and on mobile and a wide range of connected TV devices via the Paramount+ app, via [...] Apple, Amazon, Google, Roku® and Samsung, with more platforms to be announced in the coming months.” After a free seven-day trial, the service will be available for £6.99 per month, or £69.90 annually in the UK.
Paramount+ is also expected to be available in South Korea beginning in June in a partnership with CJ ENM, with a move into the Indian market in 2023. Paramount+ will also be launching on the Sky platform later this year in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany and Austria. Sky Cinema subscribers will be able to access Paramount+ content at no extra charge.
