Funko Unveils New STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS Pop Figures

NOVEMBER 2, 2023 - It is a good year to be a Star Trek: Lower Decks fan. There are new Exo-6 figurines, some great new Titmouse T-Shirts, and now they’re even getting FunkoPops!
On October 31st, as a Halloween gift to the dedicated Lower Decks fans, Funko announced that they will be releasing 5 Lower Decks Pops. The 5 pops include the “Lower Deckers:” Mariner, Boimler, Tendi, and Rutherford, and will feature an iconic enemy of theirs: Badgey.
Each of the characters has a funky position or object that perfectly encapsulates their character. Tendi is holding a datapad, Mariner has her hands on her hips and her sleeves rolled up (against Starfleet uniform code, of course), Rutherford is holding a tricorder, ready to collect data, and Boimler is standing at the ready, following to Starfleet code to the letter.
Badgey actually has a mouth, which is something I’ve never really seen on funko pops before (except for the Spider-Man villain Venom). Even the official video game character Kirby FunkoPop didn’t have a mouth and mouth is Kirby’s whole personality. I really like the inclusion of the mouth. Though it’s not the “traditional FunkoPop style” I think it really adds to his pop. He looks especially menacing with that creepy smile of his.
Funko has not officially announced when these Pops will be for sale but as soon as they are I know that I will be purchasing!
