GOG.com and Activision offer six classic Star Trek video games

SEPTEMBER 15, 2021 - GOG.com, a digital video game platform known for their distribution of beloved legacy titles for PC, has partnered with Activision to bring back six classic Star Trek games to honor the franchise’s 55-year anniversary.

The critically-acclaimed games have been updated for modern operating systems, GOG calls them “a perfect opportunity for both devoted Trekkies and new players to discover and enjoy these amazing titles, as every game on this list offers a different experience and the chance to meet some of the most beloved characters.”

Those beloved characters include Jean-Luc Picard and Data, who feature in the game Star Trek: Hidden Evil, which follows on from the events of Star Trek: Insurrection. Other games allow you to interact with the crew of the USS Voyager, or take the bridge of a Federation starship in scenarios and storylines crafted by Star Trek legend D.C. Fontana. Featuring strategy, first-person shooters, and narrative-driven role playing games, these offerings from the universe of Trek gaming offer a broad range of adventure. Two more games, the Armada series, have been announced for the near future, and will offer players a chance to engage in galaxy-wide warfare against enemies like the Borg and Species 8472.

You can check out the offerings on GOG.com, where these classic Star Trek games are currently offered for $9.99 apiece.
