Hallmark gives sneak peeks of 2022 Star Trek Collection lineup
JANUARY 20, 2022 - Hallmark has released pics of new items soon to be added to their Star Trek Collection, and TrekCore’s Twitter feed featured them in a recent thread. The new collectibles include a photo frame in the shape of the original NCC-1701 Enterprise viewscreen and a phone holder modeled after a Borg regeneration chamber (although it was noted that wireless charging would not be available with the latter).
Also coming in 2022 are the final two ornaments in the Terran Empire Storytellers series, a special Hallmark electronic collectible set centered on a U.S.S. Enterprise tree topper and ornaments featuring characters from The Original Series. When connected, the miniature ship and crew recreate the TOS episode “Mirror, Mirror” in a coordinated show of light, music, and sound effects, previewed in this video from TrekMovie.com. The final two ornaments in the “Mirror, Mirror” set include Scotty, which releases in July, and McCoy, which releases in October. (The original Hallmark photo release erroneously indicated that McCoy would be released in July, a mistake which was later corrected by HallmarkStarTrekOrnaments.com).
Also listed were new Trek-themed Hallmark “Itty Bittys,” a series of small plush collectibles, including Mirror Uhura and Mirror Sulu, available now, and Judge Q, who will appear in stores later this year. Rounding out the new offerings was a set of James T. Kirk “Mirror, Mirror” bookends highlighting the two Captain’s uniforms featured in the classic alternate universe storyline.
Keep an eye out for these new Trek-themed collectibles as they roll out during 2022 at Hallmark.com.
