ICYMI: Fox’s The Orville Will Be Back, But Not Until 2020

MAY 17, 2019 - We have more details now about season 3 of The Orville - specifically: when it is set to arrive on our screens.

Deadline this week reported from the Fox upfronts, where they presented their Fall lineup of shows to industry executives and advertisers. CEO of Fox Charlie Collier presented the lineup as a new beginning, since this is the first Fall season for Fox as an independent network, after the deal between Disney and 21st Century Fox earlier this year. He said: “We are redefining what it means to be an entertainment company, and what it means to be FOX, for 2019 and beyond.”

Notably missing from the Fall primetime lineup was The Orville, despite the fact that it was already confirmed to be returning for a third season. But have no fear...Quoting Deadline: “Once again returning in midseason is Seth MacFarlane’s sci-fi comedy-drama The Orville, which takes longer to produce.”
