DECEMBER 22, 2021 - The fascinating characters of Star Trek: Discovery often leave fans wanting to know more about them and see more of them in episodes of the show. The next best option, perhaps, is to get those backstories and further adventures via the novels and comics. An upcoming limited comic series from IDW will help scratch that itch.

TrekCore brings us the announcement from IDW of Star Trek: Discovery – Adventures in the 32nd Century, a four-issue comic series that will focus on a few of the supporting characters from among our heroes. Writers Kirsten Beyer and Mike Johnson, along with artists Angel Hernandez and Aaron Harvey, will be bringing stories centering on Grudge the Cat, helm officer Keyla Detmer, Saurian science officer Linus, and Ensign Adira Tal.

Johnson said, “Discovery’s arrival in the 32nd century opens up a whole new universe of adventure for the crew, from the feline to the Saurian. It’s a blast telling stories eight hundred years in the future of Star Trek, where we really have never been before, exploring different facets of their lives.”

There are currently no release dates for the series.
