So far, we’ve heard from Star Trek, and we’ve heard from The Orville, so it’s only fitting that the next Comic Con details to come out are from IDW. A comic book publisher at Comic Con, go figure!

The Star Trek comics publisher released details of all their activities for San Diego Comic Con, including signings, panels, and convention exclusives. Probably the biggest news is that they are now taking pre-orders for a very special hardcover edition of the new graphic memoir by George Takei, entitled “They Called Us Enemy”. From IDW: “A stunning graphic memoir recounting actor/author/activist George Takei‘s childhood imprisoned at American concentration camps during World War II, this gripping tale of courage, country, loyalty, and love – by George Takei, Justin Eisinger, Steven Scott, and Harmony Becker – allows readers to experience the forces that shaped an American icon… and America itself.”

You can pre-order either the normal hardcover or a signed and numbered hardcover, for pickup at the IDW booth during the convention. George Takei will also be available for signings throughout the weekend, and on a panel promoting the book on Saturday.

The teams behind Star Trek: Year Five and Star Trek will also be on hand throughout the weekend, with convention exclusive covers available too.
