Jack Quaid on Star Trek: Lower Decks: "It’s just like a fun show in space"
One of the stars of the upcoming adult animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks, has spoken about his experiences so far, working on the show.
Jack Quaid, who will be the voice of Ensign Brad Boimler in the new series, recently spoke to Comicbook.com about another of his projects, and said a few words about Star Trek, as well. “We’re in the middle of recording that now,” he said. “Fans of Star Trek will get little inferences and things we sprinkled throughout the show, but also, I think it’s very accessible for people who don’t know a ton of lore as well.” He concluded: “It’s just like a fun show in space.”
Quaid is the son of Hollywood stars Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan. He was speaking to Comicbook.com to promote his role in the upcoming season 3 of the animated series Harvey Girls Forever!, which Comicbook.com has called “an endearing animated take on the iconic characters from Harvey Comics”. Quaid plays the role of kid billionaire Richie Rich. Quaid has also played live action roles in the film Logan Lucky, the TV series The Boys (which also stars Trek alum Karl Urban), and the Hunger Games trilogy.
Star Trek: Lower Decks is in production now and expected to premiere sometime in 2020.
