More Star Trek treasures up for grabs in upcoming Heritage Auctions event
FEBRUARY 6, 2022 - If you missed your chance to snatch up at auction the iconic phaser rifle from the Star Trek: The Original Seriessecond pilot episode, “Where No Man Has Gone Before,” and your memorabilia budget is still in the black, you have another opportunity to score some Trek treasures.
Heritage Auctions is once again offering a variety of original props, costumes, and other items, according to TrekMovie. Highlights include screen-used mirror universe costumes worn by William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, and George Takei in the TOS season two episode, “Mirror, Mirror.” Topping the opening bids, at $40,000, is a set of William Shatner’s (prime universe) gold tunic and pants from TOS season one.
In addition to the 33 costumes, lots include original art, photos, posters, and props, such as Khan’s glove from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and the recreated K-7 space station filming model used in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine season five episode, “Trials and Tribble-ations.”
And it might come in handy these days to have an original biohazard hood from the TOS season one episode, “The Naked Time.” The opening bid is a mere $1,500.
Online bidding has opened on 75 Star Trek-related items, and the auction will take place on February 22.
