MARCH 29, 2023 – We finally have confirmed the start date for one of our favorite new Star Treks and the fate of some others.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 2 will premiere June 15, 2023, while Star Trek: Discovery will air its 5th and final season in 2024 and Star Trek: Lower Decks and Star Trek: Prodigy will likewise air seasons 4 and 2 respectively. Prodigy has been scheduled to return this winter, while Lower Decks has not been given a release date yet.

In addition, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has been renewed for Season 3 and Star Trek: Lower Decks has been greenlit for Season 5.

As we’ve previously announced, Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks have an upcoming crossover episode that will air in season 2 of SNW. It will feature both live-action and animation. Lower Decks stars Tawny Newsome and Jack Quaid will appear in the episode, with Jonathan Frakes directing.

As mentioned earlier, Paramount has also been developing a Starfleet Academy series as well as the Section 31 starring Michelle Yeoh as Philippa Georgiou. No new information has come out about the last two so far, but we’re glad to know that some of our favorites aren’t warping off into the sunset just yet.
