OTOY and the Gene Roddenberry Estate Unveil the Roddenberry Archive

MAY 2, 2023 - An incredible feat has been accomplished by those seeking to preserve the history of Gene Roddenberry and the origins of Star Trek. A group comprised of exemplary Star Trek artists and the Gene Roddenberry Estate have compiled an archive of Roddenberry's life and legacy.
For multiple decades, a collection has been steadily maintained, only to be revealed and chronicled, including 3D models of the USS Enterprise, studio models, and references utilized in both the movies and the original show. Many of these depict several prominently featured angles of the starship as well as legendary interior rooms and exterior views!
Also incorporated into the archive are models, essential assets, and blueprints that were heavily influential in the making of the Star Trek world. OTOY's LightStage facial scanning methods have been implemented to preserve these materials for later generations of Star Trek storytellers and fans.
Rod Roddenberry comments on his father's work, stating how "This project will protect an optimistic vision of the future, that has inspired so many and remains so important today.”
