Pluto TV Adds a New Star Trek Channel

NOVEMBER 4 2022 - A recent cartoon from The New Yorker showed a kid sitting on the floor with his device, talking to his dad. The dad, hands on his hips and frown on his face, listens to the kid saying, “Enough with the hard-luck stories about spanking and cursive and appointment television, Dad.”

Appointment television isn’t as yesterday as the kid thinks, though, and even Star Trek isn’t too tomorrow to have a place. TrekMovie is reporting that Pluto TV, Paramount Global’s ad-supported free streaming service, is adding more Star Trek to its content in the USA.

In addition to Pluto TV’s existing dedicated Star Trek channel, which includes Star Trek: The Next Generation and selected Trek feature films, that same channel will add Star Trek: The Original Series, and a second Star Trek channel will carry Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. The Trek content will be joining thousands of episodes of new and classic CBS content.

Current Star Trek episodes are streaming live, rather than on demand.

There is no mention of when the new content will be available so you can make your appointments, but you can head over to TrekMovie for more details.
