MAY 9, 2022 - Last week, we got to know the players. This week, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds takes viewers headfirst into classic, episodic storytelling with the second episode of the series “Children of the Comet”, airing this Thursday. Paramount+ shared several images along with a short clip from the upcoming episode.

This week on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: “While on a survey mission, the U.S.S. Enterprise discovers a comet is going to strike an inhabited planet. They try to re-route the comet, only to find that an ancient alien relic buried on the comet’s icy surface is somehow stopping them. As the away team tries to unlock the relic’s secrets, Pike and Number One deal with a group of zealots who want to prevent the U.S.S. Enterprise from interfering.”

If the EV suits in the images look familiar, your eyes aren’t being deceived. While not a perfect match, the new environmental suits in Strange New Worlds bear a striking resemblance to those used in Star Trek: Discovery.

A brief preview clip was featured on last week’s episode of The Ready Room. Capturing the essence of getting to know your fellow crewmates. The video sees Cadet Uhura (Celia Rose Gooding) and Chief Engineer Hemmer (Bruce Horak) in an awkward, but understandable moment of honesty between two crewmates.
