MAY 16, 2022 - This week on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, we’re back in the action with a new set of images, a trailer, and a preview clip for the next episode “Ghosts of Illyria”, due to premier Thursday on Paramount+.

A brief synopsis of the episode reads:

“The U.S.S. Enterprise encounters a contagion that ravages the ship. One by one, the entire crew is incapacitated except for Number One, Una Chin-Riley, who must now confront a secret she’s been hiding as she races to find a cure.”

As indicated, “Ghosts of Illyria” will give fans a deeper look at the first officer of the Enterprise, Una Chin-Riley (Rebecca Romijn). A look through the still images reveals a trip to sickbay for Number One. That means a run-in with the medical staff, so fans can likely expect to see more character development from Dr. M’Benga (Babs Olusanmokun) and Nurse Chapel (Jess Bush) in this episode as well. Also featured this week is Daniel Gravelle (Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Fahrenheit 451), appearing as Ensign Lance.

A preview clip featuring the Enterprise landing party and a calm, but confident Chief Engineer Hemmer (Bruce Horak) was shown on last week’s episode of The Ready Room. The full episode features interviews with showrunner Henry Alonson Myers and Celia Rose Gooding. A trailer for this week’s episode was also posted to startrek.com.
