In the latest graphic installment following the USS Enterprise crew, they find themselves in a challenging situation. Fragments of the ship scatter through the vastness of space, setting a tense atmosphere. Commencing the narrative with a portrayal of the destruction effectively engages the reader. The commotion of Pike and the crew assessing operational systems adds an element of thrill.

A swift shift takes us into the ship's interior, where the ambiance changes drastically with red alerts and sparks. Handling a large ensemble cast is challenging, and, unfortunately, most characters, except Pike, Spock, and Number One, remain in the background. As anticipated, Spock resolves the Uvix dilemma, coming to the rescue of the Enterprise. His continuation of the discourse on logic and empathy from the previous issue encapsulates the essence of Star Trek.

In the concluding issue, the task extends beyond repairing the Enterprise. The Uvix and the Enterprise unite to confront the warlord Zephyx. It culminates in an epic showdown, with all the allies made by the Enterprise crew during their journey. The battle scenes, featuring a myriad of ships firing beams in various colors, are visually stunning. Zephyx faces the consequences of his overconfidence as his empire crumbles around him.

The battle against Zephyx is brilliant, genuinely loved it. The remote control of Zephyx’s forces unexpectedly tips the scales, aligning everyone where they need to be. Consistently high-quality art from line work to coloring and lettering with great writing through all 5 issues, will make a fantastic Trade Paperback!
