MAY 5, 2022 - Celebrating the series premiere of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Paramount+ has released a selection of background images tailored to fit your mobile device.

Posted to a thread on the Star Trek on Paramount+ Twitter page, each wallpaper features a member of the main cast set in a celestial background on some “strange new world”. Exquisitely detailed, these wallpapers showcase the bold use of pastel colors we’ve come to expect from the artwork for the series. While these are images that have been previously released, they are now optimized for your phone or tablet! Along with the backgrounds, a message was tweeted to Star Trek fans, saying, “Captain, we're getting something on the screen. It's a whole complement of #StarTrek #StrangeNewWorlds wallpapers! Save these to your phone or other mobile device and reply with your favorites”.

Characters highlighted include Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount), Number One (Rebecca Romijn), Spock (Ethan Peck), Nyota Uhura (Celia Rose Gooding), La’an Noonien-Singh (Christina Chong), Christine Chapel (Jess Bush), Dr. M’Benga (Babs Olusanmokun), and Erica Ortegas (Melissa Navia).

Fans appear to be pleased with the new wallpapers. A look through the thread reveals plenty of Trekkies grateful for the post. Taking advantage of the invitation to join in the fun, Twitter user @USSJellico added their own variation to the thread for fans, bringing each cast member together in a single wallpaper available to download.
