Sir Patrick Stewart leaves his signature and handprints in cement at the Star Trek: Picard premiere in Los Angeles
Sir Patrick Stewart’s handprints have been immortalized in cement, outside the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.
At the red carpet premiere of Star Trek: Picard in Hollywood, Stewart was invited to leave his imprint in wet cement, a Hollywood tradition. He signed his name, the date, and left hand- and shoe-prints in the block, which will eventually be displayed in the theatre’s forecourt.
Last Monday, the TCL Chinese Theatre tweeted video highlights of the event, which featured some of Stewart’s Star Trek: The Next Generation cast members. At the event, Marina Sirtis said that working with Stewart was honor of her professional career, and LeVar Burton called Stewart “cool as cucumber soup”.
