Star Trek: Deep Space Nine leaves Netflix to stream exclusively on Paramount+
JUNE 5, 2022 - If you’ve been watching Star Trek in the United States someplace other than Paramount+, you’ve noticed that the various Star Trek series have been departing their respective streaming services in favor of exclusive access on that platform. The next – and last – series to be packing up for a move is Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
TrekMovie is reporting that DS9 will be leaving Netflix in the U.S. after July 1, 2022. DS9 is the last Star Trek show to leave Netflix, after the other four legacy live action shows (The Original Series, The Next Generation, Voyager, and Enterprise) had been licensed to the streaming service for ten years prior to leaving last year.
While Netflix will, for now, still carry the shows overseas, access to all of the Star Trek television universe in the States will be limited to Paramount+ (and the Star Trek channel on Pluto TV, which is owned by Paramount). The shows currently in production are already exclusively streamed there.
