Star Trek Documentary Is Coming to DVD Next Month
MARCH 3, 2021 – You might recall from way back in November of 2021 Alison Pitt’s interview with Brian Volk-Weiss, the director of the Star Trek documentary, The Center Seat: 55 Years of Star Trek, which was coming up that week on the History Channel.
If you don’t, and you missed the documentary – or even if you didn’t – you’re in luck. The Center Seat is coming out on DVD next month, according to a press release.
The Center Seat is an 11-episode documentary series taking viewers on the definitive, in-depth journey behind the scenes of Star Trek. The four-disc set features some deep history narrated by Gates McFadden and interviews with cast, crew, and experts, exploring pivotal moments in the franchise’s history from its inception at Lucille Ball’s production company Desilu to the recent film and television spinoffs.
The set also includes over 3.5 hours of never-before-seen on TV bonus interviews with Leonard Nimoy, Nichelle Nichols, and Kirstie Alley.
