JANUARY 30, 2020 - A contestant on the newest season of RuPaul’s Drag Race is bringing with them a bit of Trekkie flair.

Jackie Cox, who hails from New York City, is known to Trekkies for their eye-catching Star Trek cosplay, both on social media and at conventions, including Star Trek Las Vegas. On Monday, VH1 announced that Cox, along with 12 other drag queens, was chosen to be a contestant on the show’s latest season, which airs from February 28th.

In the Emmy Award-winning reality show RuPaul’s Drag Race, a group of drag queens compete in front of celebrity judges to be crowned “America’s Next Drag Superstar”. Challenges on the show include runway walks, lip syncing, and photo shoots. The show is hosted by RuPaul and features regular judges Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley and Ross Matthews.

Once again, the new season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, featuring Trekkie drag queen Jackie Cox, airs from Friday, February 28th, on VH1.
