You Can Call Me Bill Red Carpet Event: Thursday, March 21

The new William Shatner documentary will be shown TONIGHT followed by an afterparty hosted by Kevin Smith at the Culver Theater and Culver Studios in Culver City, California. Check out Head over to Legion M for all the details.

TEDx: Beyond Max Q: Friday, March 22

Representing the point of maximum dynamic pressure applied to a launch vehicle in flight, "Beyond Max Q" is designed to offer perspective on breaking through barriers, emerging from dynamic challenges, and setting the trajectory for the future. Nana Visitor will be among the speakers at this event, taking place at the Pacific Coast Club at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California. TedxVandenbergSFB has all the info.

Indiana Comic Convention: Friday, March 22 – Sunday March 24

Wil Wheaton, George Takei, Chris Sarandon, John Rhys Davies, and Bruce Greenwood are scheduled to appear at the Indiana Convention Center, in Indianapolis. Set course for Indiana Comic Convention for all the deets.

Days of the Dead: Chicago: Friday, March 22 – Sunday March 24

Denise Crosby and Malcolm McDowell are scheduled to appear at the Crowne Plaza Chicago Ohare Hotel & Conference Center, in Rosemont, Illinois. Days of the Dead has all the details.

The Regular Stuff

·These are the X and Mastodon watchalongs:

o   #TOSSatNight starts at 9pm PT on Saturday night and follows a different episode of The Original Series every week, and

o   #StarTrekHour is a Q&A-format event, every Tuesday at 1pm PT.

·Then there’s Star Trek: Watch Party, hosted daily and coordinated on Facebook. Every evening, they use the Teleparty browser extension to watch Star Trek together. To find out more, head over to Star Trek: Watch Party on Facebook.

·Speaking of a Star Trek watch party: the iBlind Users Group hosts Trekkie Talk on the first and third Thursdays of every month. They watch an audio descriptive version of a Star Trek episode and get together virtually to discuss it. To find out how to join in, visit ibugtoday.com/trekkie-talk.

·Virtual Trek Con presents The Main Viewer every Tuesday - a live discussion show on YT with occasional special guests and an open chat geared towards fan interaction.

· Join Grey Havens Philosophy and Outworld Brewing every first Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. as they discuss the big ideas inspired by Star Trek. The gatherings are at Outworld Brewing, in Longmont, Colorado. Attendance is free, but an RSVP for planning purposes is appreciated at Eventbrite.

· The Observation Deck features a free series of online Star Trek watch parties, with episodes chosen from across the franchise. Set course for The Observation Deck for all the details, including the schedule and to sign up.

·And finally, there’s Sid City Social Club, hosted by Star Trek: Deep Space Nine star Alexander Siddig’s official fan website. The Club now holds quarterly meetings. ·Ongoing through March 2024, the National Museum of African American History and Culture hosts the exhibition, “Afrofuturism: A History of Black Futures,” which includes a uniform worn by Nichelle Nichols.
