Star Trek: Deep Space Nine virtual panel: Saturday, January 8

This Saturday, January 8, GalaxyCon will be hosting another virtual meet and greet, this time with cast members from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Scheduled to appear are Terry Farrell, Armin Shimerman, Jeffrey Combs, Andy Robinson, Cirroc Lofton, and Nicole de Boer. The event is free with registration. Colm Meaney private signing: Sunday, January 9

The Regular Stuff

  • These are the Twitter watchalongs:

    • #allstartrek runs Sunday through Friday at 8/7C and follows the Heroes and Icons Channel’s All Star Trek programme.

    • #TOSSatNight starts at 9pm PT on Saturday night and follows a different episode of The Original Series every week, and

    • #StarTrekHour is a Q&A-format event, every Tuesday at 1pm PT.

  • Then there’s Star Trek: Watch Party, hosted daily and coordinated on Facebook. Every evening, they use the Teleparty browser extension to watch Star Trek together. To find out more, head over to Star Trek: Watch Party on Facebook.

  • Speaking of a Star Trek watch party: the iBlind Users Group hosts Trekkie Talk on the first and third Thursdays of every month. They watch an audio descriptive version of a Star Trek episode and get together virtually to discuss it. To find out how to join in, visit ibugtoday.com/trekkie-talk.

  • To Proudly Go, a New York-based nonprofit, will be hosting Star Trek: Discovery season 4 viewing parties each Saturday (or the docuseries Center Seat while Discovery is on hiatus, January 15 – February 5, 2022). The gatherings begin at 6:00pm ET at the Barracuda Lounge in New York City. Tickets are free, and vaccination is required. The viewing parties also include Star Trek trivia games, special Star Trek-themed drag performances, two-for-one drinks, fabulous Star Trek prizes, and merchandise.   • And finally, there’s Sid City Social Club, hosted by Star Trek: Deep Space Nine star Alexander Siddig’s official fan website. They meet twice-monthly on the first Tuesday and third Friday of every month, with occasional pop-up meetings with Sid as his schedule allows.
