Star Trek events: Thursday, June 11th - Wednesday, June 17th, 2020
Businesses across America are slowly reopening after being closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But we’re not out of the woods! Check on how your state measures up against the White House’s Reopening America Again guidelines on the website covidexitstrategy.org.
Spoiler alert! Most states are still performing poorly. So keep those masks on, keep your distance, keep washing your hands, and of course - keep tuning in to these Star Trek virtual events over the next week:

CONnected Community Con - Sunday, June 14th
And finally, the event I personally am most looking forward to: CONnected Community Con! CONnected Community Con is being organized by Science Division, the makers of official Star Trek app-enabled tribbles. It’ll feature artists, small business owners, cosplayers, crafters, fan-based organizations, podcasts (like Daily Star Trek News), and more! The event is free, and attendees will have the chance to hang out at participant’s virtual “booths” by hopping into a Zoom or Skype meeting.
Additionally, there are a couple special events happening just before and after the main con - at 2:30pm ET Alexander Siddig will be opening the con with a welcome panel moderated by Science Division. And immediately after the con, stick around for a panel on navigating destructive negativity and gatekeeping with Aly Martinez, the 24 year old Trekkie, followed by a musical performance by Keith Brinegar.

The regular stuff
Finally, some stuff I’ve told you about before that are still going on:
These are the Twitter watchalongs:
#allstartrek runs Sunday through Friday at 8/7C and follows the Heroes and Icons Channel’s All Star Trek programme.
#TOSSatNight starts at 9pm PT on Saturday night and follows a different episode of the Original Series every week, and
#StarTrekHour is a Q & A-format event, every Tuesday at 1pm PT.
Then there’s Star Trek: Netflix Party, hosted daily and coordinated on Facebook. Every evening, they use the Netflix Party Chrome extension to watch Star Trek together. To find out more, head over to Star Trek: Netflix Party on Facebook.
If you have an online event or gathering you’d like me to promote on the show, let me know! How are YOU getting together with your fellow Trekkies, without leaving the house?
Send me an email to let me know, at info@dailystartreknews.com. Or you can continue to use the hashtag #dstnevents on Twitter or Instagram, and I’ll re-share your event. That’s info@dailystartreknews.com, or hashtag #dstnevents, to let me know what you’re doing to keep the fandom alive, even as we’re all mostly staying in.
