Star Trek events: Thursday, June 25th - Wednesday, July 1st, 2020 [UPDATED]
Hey kids! We’re still in the middle of a pandemic, so remember to wash your hands, maintain social distancing, and for the love of Spock, wear a mask. And instead of heading out on the town this weekend, why not check out some virtual Star Trek events?
Star Trek: Voyager at GalaxyCon Live - Thursday, June 25th
First up: tonight, Thursday, June 25th at 6pm ET, GalaxyCon Live is hosting some of the crew of Star Trek: Voyager. Robert Picardo, Tim Russ and Garrett Wang will be on hand to chat, hang out, and answer questions. Tickets are free, but required, and you can also purchase autographs, shoutouts and one-on-one video chats. More information on that at galaxycon.com.

Then on Friday, June 26th, at 7pm ET, Science Division, makers of official Star Trek app-enabled tribbles and the organizers of CONnected Community Con, are hosting Tribble Talk, a casual Zoom-based conversation with a member of the Star Trek fan community. This week, Tribble Talk will feature Aly Martinez, aka the 24 Yr. Old Trekkie, about how Star Trek has shaped our lives. It’s a follow-up to Martinez’s panel at CONnected Community Con and all are invited to join. The Zoom link will be posted shortly before the event starts on Friday evening, so make sure you’re following Science Division on social media for more information.

Then on Saturday, there are a few panels: at 2pm PT it’s “Optimism and the Futures of Sci-Fi Worlds” with (among others) Larry himself, Star Trek science consultant Andre Bormanis, and Dr Ali Mattu (Larry’s co-host on his new show Life Support LIVE).
At 3pm PT, Bormanis will be on the panel “Restoring Scientific Thought in America”, and then at 4pm PT Star Trek: Enterprise star John Billingsley will lead a Q&A panel with the cast “Haven”, an episode of the audio drama series Uncharted Regions. It’s safe to say that one comes with a content warning for language.
