Star Trek Explorer, the new official magazine, will premiere with issue #1 this November
AUGUST 25, 2021 - Star Trek fans have been through reboots before, but the latest one does not involve altered timelines or controversial directors.
Titan Publishing has announced that its official Star Trek Magazine will be appearing in November as the new Star Trek Explorer.
The magazine began in the U.K. back in 1995 as Star Trek Monthly and has undergone title, format, and distribution changes since, including distribution in the U.S. as of 2006 with the U.S. version bearing its own numbering. It is currently a quarterly publication. Star Trek Explorer was also the title of the magazine of Star Trek: The Official Fan Club of the U.K. from 1999 to 2003 and was also published by Titan.
According to Titan’s press release, the new magazine will include short stories and a bound-in supplement, along with interviews and behind-the-scenes content. Subscribers will also receive a digital magazine each quarter with bonus stories, printables, activities, and other content.
Editor Nick Jones said, “The Star Trek brand is so exciting right now with new shows and storylines. We wanted to match this excitement with a new, fresh-look magazine that will thrill long-time and new readers alike.”
Star Trek Explorer #1 goes on sale November 2nd, and will be available through your magazine retailer or comic shop.
