Star Trek: Lower Decks, the new animated series coming to CBS All Access, finally has a premiere date, and that date is August 6th, 2020. CBS Television Studios made the announcement July first on Twitter. CBS also included a short video introducing the main cast of the Lower Decks crew on board the U.S.S. Cerritos.

Series creator Mike McMahan also took to Twitter to comment on the announcement. In his tweet, McMahan mentioned the premiere was “very soon” and suggested a list of episodes to watch ahead of time by plainly stating that people should watch “all of them”. The first season of Lower Decks will be 10 episodes, with each episode airing every Thursday, beginning on August 6th, and ending on October 8th.

Here’s a list of @startrek episodes you should watch to prepare:
All of them.
Star Trek: Lower Decks stars Tawny Newsome as Ensign Mariner, Jack Quaid as Ensign Boimler, Noёl Wells as Ensign Tendi and Eugene Cordero as Ensign Rutherford. Lower Decks will be the first animated Star Trek since Star Trek: The Animated Series ended its run of 22 episodes back in 1973. That means this is the first time in 47 years - yes, 47! - that audiences will see a new animated Star Trek series.
If you want to be prepared for the arrival of Star Trek: Lower Decks, you can easily brush up on McMahan’s suggestion of “all of” Star Trek, streaming now on CBS All Access.
