JANUARY 13, 2021 - If you’ve been lamenting the end of Star Trek: Discovery season three and with it, the end of a solid 23 weeks of brand new Star Trek, then you might want to consider rediscovering Star Trek Online as you come down.

This week, the massively multiplayer online roleplaying game launched its latest update on Xbox One and Playstation 4, and in it, players can experience new Star Trek stories, starring familiar Star Trek stars.

The “House Shattered” update is part of Star Trek Online’s “Year of Klingon”, an ambitious initiative that’s already seen updates to Klingon character and ship designs, environments and stories. Now, console players will have a chance to play through a brand new episode featuring actors Robert O’Reilly, J.G. Hertzler and Rekha Sharma, as well as four revamped missions from the existing Klingon story arc. There’s also a brand new five-player Task Force Operation inspired by Star Trek: Picard.

While this update has been a long time coming for console players (PC players had it back in early October), the timing is nonetheless fitting for a bit of post-Discovery fix.

Star Trek Online is free to play and available on both PC and consoles. Get more information from startrekonline.com, or find it in the Xbox or Playstation stores.
