Star Trek parody film Unbelievable!!!!! picked up for domestic distribution, features 40+ Trek actors plus Snoop Dogg

Hey does anyone remember back in October, when we found out that Snoop Dogg has a giant Star Trek mural on the wall of his L.A. studio? Because I do. When that story dropped, I noted that Snoop Dogg is no stranger to Star Trek. For instance, his 2004 hit single “Drop It Like It’s Hot” was released through Star Trak Entertainment, a record label created by powerhouse producers The Neptunes. Star Trak Entertainment, according to Wikipedia, was named as a reference to Star Trek.

But Star Trak Entertainment isn’t Snoop’s only claim to Trek fandom: in 2018, he was an executive producer on the parody film Unbelievable!!!!! That film unbelievably featured over 40 former Star Trek actors in a sci-fi parody adventure, which Deadline reports has just been picked up for domestic distribution in the U.S. According to the Deadline piece, independent film distributor Indie Rights has acquired the rights to the film, and will also take it to foreign sales at the Virtual Cannes Film Market later this week.

A statement on Unbelievable!!!!!’s Facebook page says, “As promised, we said we would let you all know when UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! would be coming out, and no, it’s not 2034. [...] We can’t wait to show it to you and hope you enjoy the show. Meanwhile stay safe, stay well.” In response to one fan who sought clarification on when the film might actually be released digitally in the United States, they said, “This is actually coming super-soon! [...] We're over here popping out of our skin wanting to release it. But we should still be on lockdown-ish by the time it's shown.”

Unbelievable!!!!! features former Star Trek actors across every classic-era series. Here are just a few of them: Nichelle Nichols, Marina Sirtis, Michael Dorn, Chase Masterson, Nana Visitor, Jeffrey Combs, Garrett Wang, Tim Russ, John Billingsley, Connor Trinneer, Dominic Keating, and the Gorn captain, Bobby Clark.
