Star Trek: Picard star Michelle Hurd on working with Whoopi Goldberg: "Whoopi is the bomb!"
NOVEMBER 28, 2021 - Ever since Star Trek: Picard’s Sir Patrick Stewart invited Whoopi Goldberg to reprise her role as Guinan, fans have been awaiting some news that it will happen. In a short Cameo video from Michelle Hurd, Guinan’s return is all but confirmed.
TrekMovie reported on the video, in which Hurd, who plays Raffi Musiker in Picard, reflected on the upcoming season two. She mentions that Raffi has a challenging path ahead of her and that fans can expect “great guests” and “interesting things.”
Hurd said that as a fan she pinches herself while working with some “iconic creatures” on Picard. She mentions John de Lancie, who has long been known to be coming back as Q, but then Hurd talks about working with Whoopi Goldberg. Although she does not mention Guinan specifically, Hurd said, “I’ve got to say, Whoopi is the bomb. She is SO cool. She is just cool, she is just Whoopi. That’s all you can say.”
