STAR TREK: SECTION 31 Is In the Can, According to Instagram Post
The Section 31 movie has officially finished filming! The movie started filming earlier this year (you can read our article about that here). The filming was set to take 6 weeks though in actuality it took slightly longer.
With the conclusion of filming, Section 31 officially enters post-production. Being a sci-fi show post will take quite a while, probably upwards of a year. Once this movie is released it will be the first original Star Trek film released on Paramount+ as Section 31 was originally developed as a TV series and then converted to a movie.
Actor Robert Kazinsky expressed his gratitude and love for this filming experience on Instagram.
This heartwarming post reminded many fans of the true spirit of Star Trek that often gets lost in all the fandom discourse and animosity between new and old Star Trek fans. As a fan, Iām personally so glad that Star Trek fans are on the ground making Star Trek. Reading this post gave me a lot of hope for the future of Star Trek and made me even more excited for the Section 31 film.
