JANUARY 22, 2021 - Fans of Star Trek: Voyager are getting the opportunity to hear Kathryn Janeway’s life story - straight from the captain’s mouth. StarTrek.com recently announced the release of The Autobiography of Kathryn Janeway as an audiobook. The new audiobook brings the fictional story of Captain Janeway to life, read by the voice of Janeway herself, actor Kate Mulgrew.

First published in 2020, author Una McCormack’s deep dive into the life of Captain Janeway takes the reader into a unique perspective in the Star Trek universe. The book focuses on Janeway’s entire life, from childhood through Voyager’s adventures in the Delta quadrant. The book isn’t just a timeline of Janeway’s life. The Autobiography of Kathryn Janeway also examines the intimate, meaningful relationships in her life, giving you “Janeway’s personal take on key characters such as Seven of Nine, her trusted friend Tuvok, new arrivals like Neelix and her second-in-command, Chakotay.”

With a visit to StarTrek.com, you can hear a brief excerpt from the book with Kate Mulgrew’s own voice telling Janeway’s story. The new audiobook goes on sale beginning Tuesday, January 26th.
