The Final Two Episodes of 'Star Trek: Picard' Season 3 Are Headed To IMAX In Select Cities Next Week
APRIL 11, 2023 - For the first time in over twenty years, the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation will appear on the big screen for a special one-night engagement at select IMAX theaters on Wednesday, April 19. The final two episodes of Star Trek: Picard will be shown in their entirety.
The event will be free, and tickets will be available starting Wednesday, April 12 at 10 am PT/1 pm EST. Complimentary concessions and a season finale poster giveaway are just some of the perks of the event.
According to an exclusive report in Variety, there will be a live in-person Q&A following the event with the cast and crew in Los Angeles. Patrick Stewart, LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Brent Spiner, and Jeri Ryan, as well as executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Terry Matalas. The Q&A will be broadcast to the other IMAX locations around the country.
The screening will only be available in ten cities: Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Orlando, Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington D.C.
Many fans of the franchise, including Picard showrunner Terry Matalas, hope that the positive reception to season 3 will lead to a spinoff called Star Trek: Legacy, with the crew of the USS Titan-A including the characters of Captain Shaw, Seven of Nine, Sydney La Forge, and others.
