The First Dates for Patrick Stewart's Book Tour Have Been Announced
JUNE 22, 2023 - Last month, we brought you the news that Patrick Stewart’s long-awaited memoir, Making It So, is soon to be released. Now the scheduled dates for his book tour are beginning to get announced.
The entire schedule hasn’t yet been revealed, but we do know that one of his early appearances will take place on October 2 at Symphony Space, in New York City. The venue, founded in 1972 by Leonard Nimoy’s good friend Isaiah Sheffer, is known for presenting special events like an annual Bloomsday celebration and the popular Selected Shorts program. Now they’ll be hosting what is expected to be an hour-long presentation by Stewart. According to the website,
Sir Patrick Stewart will share tales from his acclaimed stage triumphs to his legendary onscreen work in the Star Trek and X-Men franchises. Making It So is a revealing portrait of an artist whose astonishing life—from his humble beginnings in Yorkshire, England to the heights of Hollywood and worldwide acclaim—proves a story as exuberant, definitive, and enduring as the author himself.
Tickets, which were already available for Symphony Space members, go on sale for the public today and you can get them here. The admission price includes a copy of the book, but there will be no time allotted for autographs. After he finishes in New York, Stewart will be making an appearance at the Sydney Goldstein Theatre in San Francisco, CA. There’s no word yet on other dates for his book tour, but keep your eye on our weekly Events column, which is published every Thursday, to find out where Star Trek: The Next Generation’s captain will be appearing when.
