Vice Press Reissues Limited Edition Prints of Classic 'Star Trek' Movie Posters
SEPTEMBER 22, 2023 - Vice Press, a producer of limited edition fine art posters, prints, and collectibles, has unveiled an ongoing series dedicated to celebrating the enduring legacy of Star Trek across both the big and small screens.
This project will honor Star Trek's rich creative history by remastering original theatrical posters and artwork, alongside the introduction of specially commissioned pieces, promising fans a captivating visual journey through the beloved sci-fi universe.
Vice Press Creative Director Matt Ferguson will spearhead the venture. With over three decades of insight and an unswerving devotion to Star Trek, Ferguson not only identifies as a fan but also brings his artistic talent to bear on the series' maiden release—a bespoke piece inspired by Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
In a statement, Ferguson expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "Star Trek has been a lifelong presence for me. It's a family legacy, and creating new Star Trek art for my own company is a tremendous thrill. I'm eager to unveil our creative offerings. Engage!"
A hallmark of this ongoing series is the revival of timeless classics, including the remastered renditions of Bob Peak's original Star Trek: The Motion Picture posters. These cherished works will be complemented by fresh creations from an eclectic array of artists, some of whom are making their debut with Vice Press, while others are established members of the company's talent roster.
The inaugural release in the series, Star Trek: The Motion Picture by Matt Ferguson, will be made available in two exclusive limited editions. Collectors and enthusiasts alike will have the opportunity to procure a piece of Star Trek history, with a regular edition limited to 200 copies and a foil variant limited to 175 copies, both generously sized at 24x36 inches.
Star Trek: The Motion Picture by Matt Ferguson will be exclusively accessible through Vice Press, commencing on Thursday, September 21st, 2023, at 6 pm BST (UK), 1 pm EST (US), and 10 am PST (US).
