Wil Wheaton to narrate Ready Player Two, the sequel to New York Times bestselling novel, Ready Player One
Penguin Random House Audio has announced that Star Trek: The Next Generation actor Wil Wheaton is back behind the microphone to narrate Ready Player Two, the sequel to the immensely popular novel Ready Player One from author Ernest Cline.
When Ernest Cline’s dystopian novel Ready Player One was published in 2011, it gained immediate popularity. It quickly became the first book to reach #1 in print, e-book and audiobook formats, remaining on the New York Times Bestseller list for nearly two years. The audiobook of Ready Player One, which was also narrated by Wil Wheaton, spent 7 months on the bestseller list and his work has earned him the honor of recording the sequel.
We told you earlier this week that in addition to his onscreen performances, Wil Wheaton has done a fair amount of voice acting in his career. And he’s been busy recording audiobooks as well. Aside from Cline’s Ready Player One and Armada, Wheaton narrated Andy Weir’s The Martian, as well as books by authors John Scalzi, Randall Monroe, and Joe Hill.
Ernest Cline’s Ready Player Two will be released on November 24th in multiple formats, including print, e-book, audiobook and CD. Print versions and the audiobook are available for pre-order now from multiple sellers including Amazon, and wherever you get your books.
