Patience is a virtue that Star Trek: Prodigy fans know all too well. It’s been a rocky and uncertain road for the show this past year with the show getting canceled right before finishing, the Save Prodigy campaign, Netflix buying the the show, Netflix not releasing season 2 despite it being finished, and then season 2 accidentally getting released in France. Needless to say, it’s been a wild ride. Now finally, after all that, season 2 is on its way. According to the New and Hot section on Netflix’s app Star Trek: Prodigy season 2 will debut on July 1st, 2024! That’s only about a month away!! 

We still do not know whether Netflix will release all of season 2 at once or release episodes on a weekly basis. However, this news is exciting nonetheless. It’s been about 18 months since the last Star Trek: Prodigy episode was released and many fans (including us here at DSTN) are ecstatic about this news. It came at the perfect time too, as the many of us are grieving the end of Star Trek: Discovery now have a new Trek show to look forward to. 

No official statements have been released by any of the creators or actors in the show however we can assume they are just as excited as us fans.
