Captain Pike is in Handcuffs in the Teaser for Star Trek Short Treks “Ask Not”

A new teaser for the next Star Trek Short Treks episode has dropped.

A piece from IGN yesterday showed off the new trailer, for the episode “Ask Not”. This is the third of six Short Treks this autumn, leading up to the premiere of Star Trek: Picard next January.

The official description of the short reads: “When an attack on Starbase 28 leaves a surprise prisoner under Cadet Thira Sidhu’s (Amrit Kaur) watch, she is faced with making a decision that may threaten her standing in Starfleet." In the trailer, which as per usual, is short on details, we see some kind of explosion, and we see Captain Pike, played by Anson Mount, in custody, handcuffed. He implores a young cadet, played by Amrit Kaur, to free him, but she refuses. He tells her, “When this is all done, you will never see the inside of a starship again.”

“Ask Not” will air next Thursday, November 14th, exclusively on CBS All Access in the United States. No word yet on when it will be available in other countries.
