CONnected virtual convention coming June 14th, 2020 from Science Division, makers of Star Trek tribbles
There’s a new virtual convention in town that’s aiming to give you the real convention experience, aka hanging out in the vendors’ room.
CONnected Community Con is being organized by Science Division, the makers of official Star Trek app-enabled tribbles. It’ll take place on Sunday, June 14th, from 3 - 6pm ET, and feature artists, small business owners, cosplayers, crafters, fan-based organizations, podcasts (like Daily Star Trek News), and more! The event is free, and attendees will have the chance to hang out at participant’s virtual “booths” by hopping into a Zoom or Skype meeting. I’ll be there, as will some of the other podcasts on the Roddenberry Podcast Network, so mark your calendars now.
Kayleigha Zawacki, co-founder of Science Division, says of the con, “[My husband] Jay and I came up with the idea to host this convention when we realized how badly people in our community are missing [...] the sense of community and camaraderie that we were able to experience in places like the vendor room. [...] We wanted to put something together that could allow us to talk to each other about the things we love again.”
Once again, CONnected Community Con is coming up a week from Sunday, on June 14th from 3 - 6pm ET. Find out more, including how to attend, at sciencediv.com.
