Episode 7 of Season 3 of Star Trek: Lower Decks Is "Bananas"
OCTOBER 4, 2022 - Following last week’s visit to Deep Space Nine and a reunion with some familiar characters, this week’s episode of Star Trek: Lower Decks is a bit of a mystery.
In the season’s seventh episode, “A Mathematically Perfect Redemption,” a wayward Starfleet ensign struggles to find a path to redemption.
Yep, that’s it, and the only image we have is a fairly generic shot of the bridge crew. Tawny Newsome, though, did say that the episode is bananas, even if episode five is her favorite. But what episode of Lower Decks isn’t bananas?
The episode was written by Ann Kim, who also wrote the season one episode “Moist Vessel” and the season two episode, “I Excretus.” Jason Zurek directed, following up on four other Lower Decks episodes, “Strange Energies;” “Mugato, Gumato;” “Where Pleasant Fountains Lie;” and “Grounded,” all from season two except the latter, which was the first episode of the current season.
“A Mathematically Perfect Redemption” drops this Thursday on Paramount+.
