AUGUST 9, 2023 - When it was announced that Star Trek: Strange New Worlds would feature a musical episode, there was a lot of excitement. Not just from fans of the show, but the cast and crew as well, including cinematographer Benji Bakshi. When he and I spoke a few weeks ago, he could barely contain his excitement, although since the announcement hadn’t been made, he couldn’t exactly say why. As soon as it was announced, I knew I had to talk to Bakshi about it. It turns out his background and interests made him the perfect choice to work on the episode.
