Star Trek actors Sonequa Martin-Green and Zachary Quinto join Invincible on Amazon Prime Video
Invincible, an upcoming series on Amazon, has found a couple of Star Trek actors to add to its already impressive credentials. Sonequa Martin-Green and Zachary Quinto will be joining an already all-star cast on the new animated drama, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Invincible is based on the comic book series of the same name, created by Robert Kirkman, who will serve as an executive producer on the series. The story follows 17-year-old Mark Grayson, voiced by Steven Yeun. While Mark might appear to be a normal teenager, he is actually the son of Omni-Man, the most powerful superhero in the world, and he begins to study under his father to develop his own superhuman abilities, eventually taking on the superhero name “Invincible”.
Sonequa Martin-Green has been tapped to voice the “Green Ghost” in the series alongside several co-stars from her time on The Walking Dead. Fellow Trek veteran Zachary Quinto will take on the role of “Robot”, an ally of the Grayson character, as Mark begins to use his powers. The pair will be joining a number of notable actors lending their voices to Invincible, including JK Simmons and Sandra Oh as Mark’s parents, Nolan and Deborah Grayson. The series also stars Seth Rogen, Ross Marquand and a well-known actor from that other “Star” franchise, Mark Hamill.
While no release date has been announced, Invincible is expected to be available on Amazon Prime Video later in 2020.
