Star Trek: Bridge Crew virtual reality game expands to Oculus Quest
Star Trek: Bridge Crew VR has arrived on Oculus Quest.
Publisher Ubisoft announced on Monday that the popular cooperative multiplayer virtual reality game would be expanding to the new platform, effective immediately. Oculus Quest is the latest VR headset from the Facebook-owned Oculus VR, and is a fully standalone system that runs games and other applications without a PC, just with the headset and controllers.
David Votypka, Senior Creative Director of game developer Red Storm, said of the move, “We are very excited to bring Star Trek: Bridge Crew to Oculus Quest. [...] The popularity of the Quest platform, along with cross-play functionality with the game’s original platforms, is a fantastic opportunity for fans to join up on the bridge of a Federation starship.”
Star Trek: Bridge Crew is currently available for Oculus Quest for $29.99 USD. But according to the Ubisoft announcement, existing players can get a discount. Players who already own the base game and the Next Generation DLC on PC can get the Quest version of the game for free. Players with just the base game pay just $9.99.
If you don’t have an Oculus unit, Star Trek: Bridge Crew is also available for HTC Vive, and Playstation 4 VR, and for non-VR via Steam.
