It sure looks like Discovery actor Mary Wiseman may have spilled the beans on a filming location for season 3.

TrekCore.com reported earlier this week that Sylvia Tilly actor Wiseman posted two images on her Instagram stories from a trip to Iceland. One of the images featured series star Sonequa Martin-Green and producer Olatunde Osunsanmi at a restaurant in the country’s capital, Reykjavik. The other image was captioned “1 am in Reykjavik” and pictured what some people call the “Midnight Sun” - when the sun remains visible in the middle of the night in some far-north locations.

TrekCore points out that earlier this year, production designer Tamara Deverell indicated that the production team for Discovery were considering filming in locations such as Iceland and Scotland, as stand-ins for alien planets.

The timing of Wiseman’s post is consistent with our expectations for when production on Discovery season 3 would be kicking off; according to a February article from TrekMovie, the industry publication Production Weekly had a start date of July 8th, for when filming would start at Pinewood Studios in Toronto.
