Star Trek: Discovery season 4 officially announced, starts production in November
OCTOBER 19, 2020 - Star Trek: Discovery season four is officially on. With the third season of Discovery finally making it to television screens last Thursday, Friday saw the official announcement that a fourth season has been ordered by CBS All Access. The announcement came by way of a video posted to StarTrek.com. In the video, news of the fourth season was delivered by showrunners Michelle Paradise and Alex Kurtzman, along with Discovery actors Sonequa Martin-Green and Doug Jones.

“It’s official,” Paradise said, as Kurtzman jumped in to say, “We are back.” Discovery will start production on November 2nd, just two weeks from today. In the announcement video, actors Jones and Martin-Green each shared their feelings on what it will mean to be able to get back to work.
“I am so excited to be back on set!” Martin-Green said. “It’s gonna be great to see everybody and I think we’re gonna really love on each other. I’m so excited to be giving you a season four, and [to] watch season three!” Jones followed with similar comments about getting back to work and being “reunited with [...] the Discovery family”. “To be able to at least be in the same room again,” Jones said, “even if we can’t hug each other right away. I don’t know how it’s all going to work, but I can’t wait.”
